Brick House Mercantile "Immersed" provides an opportunity for our friends and guests to travel around the globe with Chef Bahr and the Brick House Mercantile Team, enjoying carefully curated itineraries rich in history, culture, and most importantly - culinary art. Our passion at Brick House Mercantile is the full food experience – including gathering around the table with friends that love the food experience as much as we do! This is our first attempt at a “culinary immersion” trip, and we hope you will join us for this one and many more! Our vision of bringing the old-world charm of southwest France to the forefront, using local market ingredients to cook exquisite dinners, learning about, and drinking organic and biodynamic wine, visiting Michelin restaurants and local cafes, and experiencing the deep history of the Dordogne will not be complete without our guests! The Dordogne region boasts 8 of the most beautiful cities in France. It has been called the best area for an immersive food experience and excellent for wine lovers – and it includes Bordeaux – known not only for their wine but for one of the oldest and most beautiful cathedrals in France. We will visit a few of these cities together and have balanced the weeklong itinerary to allow our guests to explore on their own or simply relax by the pool or in the gardens of the Château for some true leisure time! Get ready to fill your week with beautiful countryside, an immersive French culinary experience, and lots of eating – think pasta, foie gras, confit, fish, meat & poultry, pate’, classic sauces, salads, bread, classic French pastries and desserts, perfect French wine and so much more!
